On January 19th, the people of MA spoke loud and clear, they want smaller government, fewer taxes, and common sense in the person of Scott Brown. His victory for the “Peoples’ Seat” was another warning signal from the voters of Massachusetts to their elected representatives in Washington. The People of MA began the process of reasserting control of their country. They said no to backroom deals, partisan politics, and Congress spending money that it does not have. I believe that his was a continuation of taking back our country which began in NJ and VA.
The solution to our many problems is less government, universal tax relief, term limits, and adherence to the Constitution of this great country. We must balance the budget, realistically determine what social programs we can keep, and get our financial house in order. We cannot continue to be the policeman to the world, but we must have a strong national defense. We must keep our citizens safe, and implement common sense solutions to combatting terrorism. We cannot continue to ignore illegal immigration. We must fix America first, promote new jobs in the private sector, and stop penalizing hard work and success. We must repair and replace our aging infrastructure. We can once again make America the world’s number one economic engine. We just need the will to do what has to be done. This Can Do attitude is what made America great, and we will do it again.
We must restore the American Dream to our children and to future generations. That requires fiscal responsibility. The legacy that we are currently leaving them is one of unfunded mandates, political correctness, government dependence, and enormous debt. I intend to leave a legacy of prosperity, opportunity, education, and liberty. Please join me!
